I’m Josh Sines, a lifelong Eastern Baltimore County resident running for County Council in the new District 8.

I’m a small business owner and Republican committed to common sense, community-first leadership.

I believe in hard work, protecting our land and water, following the law, and standing up for local neighborhoods. My focus is simple: common sense, community first, and conservation.

I will work with anyone—Republican, Democrat, or independent—to get things done for District 8.

Common Sense

Your tax dollars should work as hard as you do. I’ll crack down on waste, hold county agencies accountable, and make sure funding goes where it actually helps people. I will fight for the services and investments our neighborhoods deserve because every community deserves its fair share.

Community First

This isn’t about politics. It’s about people.

I’ll listen, take your concerns seriously, and make sure your voice drives the decisions. From safer streets and stronger schools to fixing roads and revitalizing our communities, families and neighborhoods will always come first.

Conservation

Growing up on the water, I know how much our environment means to our quality of life. I’ll protect our waterways, open spaces, and rural areas while pushing for responsible growth that benefits our whole community. We can build for the future without losing what makes our home special.

Why I’m Running

Our area has been overlooked for far too long. While other parts of the county get attention and investment, Essex, Middle River, and White Marsh are left with overcrowded schools, traffic-clogged roads, and development that doesn’t fit our infrastructure.

I’m running for County Council to push back on overdevelopment, deliver results, bring balance and common sense, and put our communities first.

I’m committed to listening, showing up, and delivering results for every community in District 8.
